ProSoft Mourns the Passing of Co-Founder Mark Anderson

ProSoft announces with deep sadness the passing of its co-founder, Mark Anderson, whose vision, leadership, and entrepreneurial spirit helped shape the company’s foundation and long-standing legacy in the AEC industry.

Mark Anderson was instrumental in establishing ProSoft more than four decades ago, helping build a company grounded in innovation, customer commitment, and technical excellence. While Mark has not been actively involved with the company for over 15 years, the principles he instilled continue to guide ProSoft’s direction and culture today.

“Mark was a true pioneer,” said Kim Anderson, ProSoft’s other Co-Founder and brother.  “None of us would know each other or be together today if it hadn’t been for Mark.  Mark was truly in love with technology.  ProSoft was his idea, his creation, and most of all, his passion.  I could not be more grateful for him as my big brother and business partner . . . but mostly, trusted friend.”

Throughout his career, Mark was known for his forward-thinking approach and his ability to see opportunities where others did not.  He was fearless and had the faith and determination to take these dreams to the next level.  Mark played a key role in positioning ProSoft as a trusted partner to architects, engineers, and construction professionals around the world—relationships that remain central to the company’s success.

Beyond his professional accomplishments, Mark’s legacy is one of uncommon kindness and extraordinary generosity. He carried a genuine warmth that drew people in, and a selfless spirit that inspired those around him—quietly making a difference in ways that will be remembered long after his passing.

His legacy is not only in the company he helped build, but in the people he inspired along the way.
